Urban Decay NAKED Nail Kit: Review, Photos & Swatches

♥ Urban Decay NAKED Nail Kit.

This irresistible nail polish kit features six of this season’s most sought-after shades in Urban Decay’s signature NAKED style. Featuring an inspired range of glitters, metallics, creams, and shimmers, each gorgeous hue proves that once again, neutral is anything but boring. This set contains 6 x 0.16 oz Nail Colors in Hustle, Naked, Smog, Toasted, Creep, Sidecar.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

♥ Urban Decay NAKED Nail Kit.

Naked:
Naked is a beige creme nail polish with just a slight hint of shimmer. I found Naked to be a little difficult to apply, because of the thick consistency. It is a little streaky and sheer on the first coat. It dries fast and it's fully opaque in three coats. Naked is definitely a great everyday share, and it's very work appropriate as well which is always a plus :-)

Sidecar:
Sidecar is a warm nude nail polish with silver micro-glitter. I found this shade to be extremely easy to apply. I didn't have any problems with streaking, it dries fast and it's fully opaque in two/three coats. Sidecar would make a great top coat, I think it would look beautiful on top of a darker brown nail polish :-)

Toasted:
Toasted is a shimmery beige nail polish. I found this shade to be quite difficult to apply. It's not my favorite polish in this kit, and I'm not the biggest fan of the finish either. It dries quickly and it's fully opaque in two/three coats.

Smog:
Smog is a metallic copper nail polish with gold shimmer. Smog is definitely one of my favorite shades in whole this kit. It applies beautifully, and the color is so rich and pigmented. It dries quickly, and it's fully opaque in two coats.

Hustle:
Hustle is a shimmery metallic dark purple nail polish. This shade is completely dried out in the bottle, so I won't be able to tell you if I like this shade or not. I had to use my Seche Vite top coat to even out the nail polish just a little. It's almost impossible to work with, but I still wanted to show you the color. I really hope I manage to fix this, because the color is really pretty and I really want to wear it. I'm going to try and add a few drops of nail polish remover or a nail polish thinner, so we just have to wait and see how it goes. Thank you to all of you who left me your lovely advice on Twitter, I really appreciate it :-)

Creep:
Creep is a green/black nail polish with silver glitter. It's very easy to work with, but I did find it to be just a little sheer. It dries quickly, and it's fully opaque in three coats.

My Thoughts:
I love this NAKED nail polish kit by Urban Decay. The shades are very beautiful, rich and pigmented. My favorite shades in this kit are Naked, Sidecar, Smog and Creep. Toasted is a pretty shade, but I didn't quite like the finish. Hustle was completely dried out when I opened up the bottle, so I haven't been able to play around with it as much as I wanted to.

Overall, I really do like this kit. I ordered it at Sephora (via Shipito) for $26.00 which I think is a great deal for six beautiful nail polishes. I'm very impressed with the NAKED line by Urban Decay, and I really hope that they will continue to come out with more products :-)

Paese Milky Lips in #602: Review, Photos & Swatches

♥ Paese Milky Lips in #602.

Paese Milky Lips is a lip gloss and lip balm in one. Milky lips provides hydration for parched lips in variety of shades. Select your favourite colour and enjoy long lasting, moist and glistening lips.

♥ Paese Milky Lips in #602.

♥ Paese Milky Lips in #602.

♥ Paese Milky Lips in #602.

My Thoughts:
Paese Milky Lips in #602 is a pretty pale pink lip gloss. I really like that it makes my lips feel soft, smooth and moisturized. It does feel a little sticky, but you can prevent a lot of the stickyness if you apply a good lip balm first. It makes the lip gloss feel less sticky and more comfortable on the lips. Sadly it's quite sheer, so the color hardly shows up on my pigmented lips. I like wearing this on it's own, but I prefer using it on top of a nude/light pink lipstick.

Milky Lips in #602 has a sweet and yummy scent, which reminds me a lot of the candy called PEZ. This lip gloss does leave an after taste in my mouth which I'm not the biggest fan of, but it dissapears after I drink or eat something. PEZ is definitely not the worst after taste in my opinion, but I would probably like it more if it didn't have it. I think the scents are different depending on which Milky Lips lip gloss you pick, because I have another one in my collection and that one smells like strawberries :-)

The packaging is very simple, but cute at the same time. The lip gloss comes in a 6ml clear and black plastic tube, with the ''Milky Lips'' logo on both sides of the tube. If you are looking for a more pigmented lip gloss, I definitely recommend that you check out some of their other shades :-)

You might like this product if:
♥ You like candy scented products.
♥ You are looking for an affordable, but good lip gloss.

You might not like this product if:
♥ You are looking for a pigmented lip gloss.
♥ Don't like candy scented products.
♥ You have very pigmented lips.
♥ You don't like sticky lip glosses.

Best Of Beauty 2012: Skin Care & Body Products

Hey Beauties :-)
This is my third and final post in my ''Best Of Beauty 2012'' series. This post is going to be all about my favorite skin care and body products. I really hope that you have enjoyed reading these posts, because I sure had a lot of fun writing them :-)

Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Natural Glow Facial Towelettes:
This product is a big favorite of mine. I really like how the moisture from the facial towelettes quickly absorb into my skin, without leaving a sticky or greasy feeling behind. I think they are great for removing makeup, and I really like the fresh and clean scent that they have, I find it to be very refreshing :-)

Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes:
These have been my go-to eye makeup remover wipes for months now, and I absolutely love them. After I have used the Bioderma cleanser, I go over my eye area with the Simple cleansing wipes, and remove any leftover makeup that the Bioderma cleanser didn't remove. These remove my makeup without any trouble, which I really like. They stay nicely moisturized in the package, so you don't have to worry about them drying out :-)

L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil:
This is seriously one of the best shower oils that I have tried, and it has quickly become a huge favorite of mine. I really like how nicely it foams up, and it makes my skin feel very soft and smooth. It smells amazing, and the scent stay on my skin throughout the day. I need to order myself another bottle, because this one is almost empty :-)

Bioderma Crealine H2o Face and Eyes Cleanser:
After hearing a lot of great things about this Crealine H2o Ultra-mild Non-rinse Face and Eyes Cleanser by Bioderma, I decided to pick up a bottle and try it out. I really like this product a lot, and I think it does a very good job removing my makeup. I don't think it's the best for removing waterproof mascara but since I hardly wear any waterproof mascara, this works perfect for me :-)

Sterilan Fresh & Fruity Expert Protection Deodorant:
I haven't tried too many deodorants, but I do have a favorite one to share with you. I picked this up a while ago, and I like it a lot. It has a very fresh, fruity and floral scent, which feels very refreshing and nice :-)

Dermalogica Ultracalming Cleanser:
I started using the ultracalming cleanser from Dermalogica about two years ago, and I like it a lot and I'm still sticking to it. It comes out like a clear gel, which doesn't foam up when it comes in contact with water. I just wash my face with warm water, I apply a small amount of the cleanser and then I gently work it into my skin. My skin feel so soft and fresh afterwards, I LOVE it. I just finished this bottle, so I need to pick up another bottle :-)

Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance:
I have been using this moisturizer for over a year now, and I absolutely love it. My skin gets extra dry when it's cold outside, and this help keep it nice and moisturized throughout the day. I really like that it doesn't feel greasy on my skin, that's definitely something I look for in a good moisturizer. I just can't stand that sticky/greasy feeling :-)

EOS Complete Care Hand and Body Lotion:
I just can't get enough of this hand and body lotion from EOS. I love how fast it absorbs into my skin, and it doesn't leave a greasy feeling behind. It has a coconut scent, which reminds me of summer. I really like that I can use this as a body lotion, and a hand cream :-)

EOS Ultra Moisturizing Shave Cream in Lavender Jasmine:
I have been using this wonderful shaving cream by EOS for months now, and I can't get enough of it. I really like that it makes my skin silky smooth, and it leaves a soft lavender scent behind on my skin. I just love this product, it's the best shaving cream that I have tried :-)

What do you think about my favorites? Have you tried out any of these products? What was your favorite skin and body product of 2012? :-) Xoxo, Christine♥

Pixi Early Bird Kit: Review, Photos & Swatches

 ♥ Pixi Early Bird Kit.

This Early Bird kit from Pixi is a face palette of magical colours that are all you will ever need for you to greet the day looking like you're the early bird! With soft colours that can be combined to create a subtle, pretty look, this kit will have you looking fresh throughout the day. In a beautiful case, this kit would make a wonderful gift for someone special.

♥ Pixi Early Bird Kit - Bronzer and Highlighter Swatches.

My Thoughts:
The Pixi Early Bird Kit comes with three beautiful blushes, two bronzers, one highlighter, four eyeshadow base powders and sixteen eyeshadows. I like how easy these are to work with, how nicely they blend, and how build able the shades are. They have a really soft and smooth texture, which I really like. The colors in this kit are designed to make you look wide awake in an instant.

The eyeshadows do have some fallout (some eyeshadows have more fallout than others), but you can avoid a lot of it if you tap of the extra product that's on the brush before you apply it. I also found the eyeshadows on the right side in this kit to be a little more pigmented and easier to swatch, than the eyeshadows on the left side. There is only one matte eyeshadow in this kit, the rest of the eyeshadows are shimmery shades. Three of the eyeshadow base powders are matte as well, which are great for highlighting the brow bone, the inner tear duct or applied all over the eyelid.

The blushes might look a little scary at first, but they are very build able. You can sheer them out, or you can build them up and make them more intense if you prefer that. I love that this kit comes with a light and a dark bronzer. If you have a lighter complexion and you think that the darkest bronzer in this kit is going to look too dark on you, you can just use the lighter one and then use the darker bronzer as an eyeshadow instead. If you have a darker complexion, the lightest bronzer is going to look beautiful as a highlight. The highlighter in this kit isn't too shimmery, which makes it perfect. It looks very pretty and natural on my skin.

I really like that this kit gives you a lot of different products to play with. You can mix and match different colors and get the look you desire. You can even use the blushes, bronzers and the highlight shade as eyeshadows if you want. The packaging is just gorgeous, and I love how it doesn't take up much space in my makeup drawer. I definitely recommend this kit to everyone who love shimmery eyeshadows. If you are looking for a palette/kit with more matte shades, this might not be the right one for you :-)

You might like this product if:
