GLOSSYBOX THROWBACK SALE

A while ago, GLOSSYBOX had their yearly throwback sale which is when you can buy their beauty boxes for a discounted price. I knew that if I decided to order from their sale, there were bound to be a couple of boxes that I've received in the past. They only allowed three boxes per person, which is very understandable. I managed to get my hands on six boxes, thanks to my mom who let me use her account. I only paid around $39 for all 6 boxes (each box was 59NOK), which is such a good bargain.

The box selections were completely random so I didn't get to pick my own, but I'm very pleased with the boxes that I ended up with. You can imagine my excitement when all 6 boxes arrived at my doorstep, it felt like Christmas all over again. I ended up with 3 beauty boxes that I've already received in the past, while the other 3 were ''new'' boxes. Although 3 of these are boxes that I have received in the past, some of the colors are different than what they were when I first got them. I'm excited to try everything out, hopefully I find a couple of new favorites in the bunch! :-)
 ♥ GLOSSYBOX: Font Your Beauty
This is one of the boxes that I have received in the past during my subscription to GLOSSYBOX. It's probably one of my least favorite boxes. I was a little disappointed when I opened it up, because I thought that the content wasn't as great compared to some of the previous boxes that I have received from GLOSSYBOX.

My favorite items from the Front Your Beauty box is definitely the Glazel Visage Lip Pencil and Emite Make Up E144 Eyeshadow Brush. Although I'm a huge fan of Make Up Store, their Cyber Shadow in Babydoll isn't a color that I would personally wear on my eyes. I'm all about neutral eyeshadows, so this one is a little bright for my taste. I love a good face mask, so I'm excited to try out the Incredible Face Mask from May Beauty. It's a brand that I'm not familiar with, which makes me even more excited to play around with it. Don't you just love it when you get products from brands you haven't heard about before? I think it's really fun! :-)
 ♥ GLOSSYBOX: Bold Beauty
Bold Beauty is actually one of my favorite boxes that I've received from GLOSSYBOX in the past, so I was excited to get it again. I love that they have included yet another product from Make Up Store and this time it's one of their slim lipsticks. The shade is called 104 and it's a beautiful pinky red, which looks absolutely gorgeous. Another favorite from this box is the Glazel Visage Loose Eyeshadow in G1. It's a beautiful, golden eyeshadow with lots of sparkles. I'm excited to try this one out, it looks like it could be a nice color for everday. The Mythic Oil Masque from L'Oreal Paris smells amazing. My all-time favorite hair masque is the Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque from Macadamia Professionals, so I'm excited to see how this one compares to it.

The last two items that I got in this box is Naobay Natural & Organic Moistruizing Peeling and Elizabeth Mott You're So FINE Liquid Eyeliner in Glitterati. I haven't tested these two products out yet, so I can't really tell you much about them. I think I'm going to try out moisturizing peeling later tonight, hope it's good! :-)
♥ GLOSSYBOX: Summer Countdown
Summer Countdown is a lovely box filled with lots of products that will get you Summer ready in no time. I've already received this box before, but I didn't mind getting it again because I think it's a really good box. My favorite picks from the Summer Countdown box is definitely Make Up Store Messy Hair Tube and Hawaiian Tropic Protective Dry Oil SPF 15. We are going to Thailand on holiday, so I'm planning to take quite a few of these products with me. Although they are small sized, you actually get a lot of product in each tube. They are so easy and convinient to travel with and they don't take up much space in your bag either! :-)

 ♥ GLOSSYBOX: Pop Art Edition
 ♥ GLOSSYBOX: Pop Art Edition
The Pop Art Edition box is inspired by Andy Warhols Pop Art and makeup is the main focus in this box. I really like the look of the Rituals Foaming Shower Gel Sensation in the scent Yogi Flow, it smells devine. I'm also curious to try out the Nails Inc Nail Polish in Brook Street, it looks like a nice pinky coral shade for Summer. The Universal Blush from So Susan Cosmetics looks like it can be a pretty blush for everyday. This is another brand that I haven't heard about, so I can't wait to see what I think about it. I also got this Eye Pencil in Goodbye Moon by the brand Lollipops Paris Make-Up, which looks interesting. I usually stick to brown eye pencils, because I think black looks a little too harsh on my pale complextion. But I will definitely give this one a go. It's contains Vitamin E, has an anti-aging effect and it's supposed to have a metallic sheen as well. How cute is the packaging? It reminds me off Too Faced? What do you think? :-)

The final item in this box is this Cyber shadow from Make Up Store called Jelly. It's another ''crazy'' color, which I'm not sure I will get much use out off. I think I might just add this one to my give away bin and do a giveaway for you in the near future. I'm sure many of you love to rock a bold and bright eye look and it's better to give it away to someone who is going to give it some love! :-)
 ♥ GLOSSYBOX: Eyes On Beauty
The Eyes On Beauty box is filled with lots of exciting products, mainly products for the eyes. I have already tested out the Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer from Absolute New York and so far I like it. It a little sticky, which is great because then the eyeshadow has something to grab onto. The concealer quad from So Susan Cosmetics looks interesting! The packaging feels cheap though, but I'm excited to play around with the different concealers and see how well they cover.

I received yet another product from Make Up Store in this box and this time it's one of their eyedusts in the color Victory. It's a nice teal, which looks very pretty but then again I'm not sure how much use I'm going to get out of it. I bought the L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Awakening Eye Cream a while back, but haven't tried it out yet. I have heard some lovely things about it though, so I hope that I'm going to like it. How cute is this MeMeMe Cheek and Lip Tint in Coral Blossom? It's such a pretty shade! I wouldn't wear it on my lips because this perticular color doesn't look good on me, but I would definitely use it as a cheek tint! :-)
 ♥ GLOSSYBOX: Anniversary Box
This is probably my second favorite box out of all 6 boxes. One of my favorite items from this box is the Deep Cleansing Mud Mask from Anatomicals. I love using face masks, so I can't wait to try this one out. Have you tried it out before? What did you think about it? The nail polish from Makiash looks absolutely gorgeous! This shade is called 301 and it's a beautiful, deep navy. I can't wait to paint my nails with this color, it looks so beautiful in the bottle. It might be the next color that I'm painting my nails with! Let me know if you would like to see a ''Nails Of The Day'' post about it! :-)

I love testing out new mascaras so I'm happy that they included this one by the brand Jelly Pong Pong in the box. This Farg Eyes black eye liner is my least favorite product in this box, just because I don't wear black eye liners that often. Although, it's always nice to have a good, black eye liner lying around just in case I want to change things up a bit. I'm not sure how well this Pressed Bronzing Powder from Model Co is going to work on my pale complextion. It looks way too dark in the packaging, but we'll see how it's going to look after I've used it on my face. If I don't like it as a bronzing powder, I would probably make a good eyeshadow! :-)

Sp there you have it, this is everything that I got from the GLOSSYBOX Throwback Sale. Have you bought any boxes from their sale? Which boxes did you get? :-)

MY FAVORITE BEAUTY PRODUCTS IN 2015

Happy New Year! I can't believe that it's 2016 already, where has this past year gone? I really hope that you all had a wonderful celebration with your loved ones and that the new year is treating you well so far. As you might have noticed, I have been missing in action for a while now. I've been quite busy with work and I just felt like taking a little break from the blog to gain some inspiration.

One of my new year resulutions this year is to get back into blogging again. I love interacting with you and sharing my favorite products with you as well as fun, new upcoming products on the beauty marked. Be sure to let me know if there are any specific posts you would like to see more off on my blog this year, I would love to do them for you! But enough rambling, let's jump into my 2015 beauty favorites! :-)
Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 105:
The Maybelline Fit Me Foundation has been my most reached for foundation in 2015. I really like how lightweight it feels and how natural it looks on my skin. It's easy to apply and very easy to blend. It feels a little sticky on the skin after it's been applied, so I always make sure to set it with a powder afterwards. I think this is such a great foundation for the price and I always find myself going back to it whenever I'm doing my makeup.

MAC Cosmetics Pro Longwear Concealer in NW15:
What I really like about the Pro Longwear concealer from MAC Cosmetics is that it doesn't crease underneath my eyes. The coverage is wonderful and it's got a thick consistency, which is very easy to apply and blend out. I really like how it brightens up my face and makes me look more awake, it's definitely a life changer on those early mornings. The only thing that I don't like about it is the scent. The smell reminds me of paint, you know what I mean if you have tried it out for yourself or if you are familiar with their Studio Fix Fluid foundation. But once you have applied the concealer, you don't notice the scent anymore. Pro Longwear concealer from MAC Cosmetics is a little pricier compared to the Fit Me concealer from Maybelline, but I really think that it's worth the $21 price tag. A little goes a very long way with this concealer, so it's going to last you a good while! :-)

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15:
The Maybelline Fit Me concealer has good pigmentation, it doesn't crease too much under my eyes and it's easy to blend as well. The coverage isn't as good as Pro Longwear from MAC Cosmetics, but it gets the job done. Fit Me is a great choice if you are looking for a more affordable concealer to try out for yourself. I'm almost finished with this tube, so I need to pick up another one the next time I'm at the mall! :-)

L'Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Plumper in Light to Medium:
After hearing so many lovely things about L'Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Plumper from Shaaanxo on YouTube, I just had to test it out for myself. Guess what? I have been hooked on it ever since, ha ha. It has quickly become a must have and a staple in my daily makeup bag. It's very easy to apply due to the small applicator brush, makes it so easy for you to comb through each and every single brow hair. It looks very natural on the brows, it last a long time and it doesn't make them feel too stiff and uncomfortable either. The only thing that I don't like about it is that the brush can sometimes have too much product on it. I like to wipe it with a tissue to remove any access product before I apply it on my brows. But other than that this product gets two thumbs up from me! :-)

Rimmel London Wonder'Full Wake Me Up Mascara in 001 Black:
One of my favorite mascara's in 2015 has been the Wonder'Full Wake Me Up Mascara from Rimmel London. The lovely people over at LookFantastic sent it to me, which I'm so grateful for. It's such a nice mascara, which looks very natural on the eyes. It gives my lashes nice lenght, but not as much volume as I hoped for. I love that it doesn't make my lashes look clumpy, stiff or feel uncomfortable. If you are blessed with thick and volumunous eye lashes and you just want to give your lashes some nice lenght, definitely check out this mascara. I think it's lovely and I would definitely re-purchase it.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray:
All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray from Urban Decay has been a huge favorite of mine in 2015. It feels so nice and refreshing on the skin. I like to apply it after I'm done doing my makeup. It sets everything in place and makes my makeup last thoughout the day. My skin is quite dry, so the powder
(Rimmel London Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder) that I use to set my foundation with usually sticks to any dry patches on my skin. But this takes away that powdery, dry look and makes my makeup look so pretty and natural. Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray has quickly become one of my holy grail beauty products and I can't see myself not using it everyday! :-)
Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette:
Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette has been my go-to, everyday eyeshadow palette in 2015. The palette is filled with 6 gorgeous eyeshadows, 1 shimmery shade and 5 matte shades. The eyeshadows are nicely pigmented and they feel silky and very smooth to the touch. They are very easy to apply and blend out as well. Some of the eyeshadows are a bit chalky, but that's okay. It's nothing too crazy that would make me not want to use them.
Urban Decay is one of my favorite brands and I personally think that they make some of the best eyeshadows on the beauty marked. If you are looking for a new, neutral eyeshadow palette to try out, definitely keep this one in mind next time that you are going shopping. It's such a handy little palette that is perfect for everyday use and it also makes the perfect little travel companion as well! :-)
Hourglass Cosmetics Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta:
My favorite blush in 2015 have hands down been Radiant Magenta by Hourglass Cosmetics. It's a beautiful golden fuchsia blush, which looks absolutely gorgeous and surprisingly natural on the cheeks. The pigmentation is wonderful and it has a very soft and smooth texture that blends like a dream. Hourglass Cosmetics definitely knows a thing or two about packaging! If you are looking for a high-end blush to splurge on, you should check these out. They are truly stunning and worth the money in my opinion! :-)
MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle:
If you have been following my blog for a while now, this next product shouldn't come as a shock to you. MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle has been my favorite, go-to highlighter in 2015. It's a gorgeous golden champagne highlighter, which is nicely pigmented and looks stunning on top of the cheekbones. It can also be used on the eyes, which I have been doing a lot as well. I love using it on the inner corner of my eyes, because it makes the entire makeup look really soft and pretty while making you look more awake as well.
H&M Lipstick in Brunette Ambition:
Have you seen the new beauty range from H&M? I did a beauty haul a while ago featuring a couple of items from their new range (here) and this lipstick is one of the items that I picked up. I'm so happy that I decided to go for this particuar color, because it's the perfect everyday color. This liptsick is called Brunette Ambition and it's a gorgeous, deep pinky brown. The pigmentation is very nice, it's really creamy and it feels  comfortable to wear on the lips as well. The formula and quality of this lipstick is quite impressive, it definitely makes me want to head back into H&M and pick up more shades from this range! :-)
MAC Cosmetics Lip Liner in Soar and Lipstick in Brave:
My favorite lip combination in 2015 have been Soar lip pencil and Brave lipstick from MAC Cosmetics. They are both gorgeous worn alone but together they create the most beautiful, pinky brown. Lipsticks have always been a weakness off mine, especially deeper, nude shades. ''Concealer'' lips have never been my thing, I've always gravitated towards lip colors like these two. Soar is such a nice color on it's own, but I don't like how drying it feels on my lips. So that's why I love pairing these two together, it's just the perfect everyday combination! :-)
There you go, my top favorite beauty products in 2015! What products did you love in 2015? Do we have any of the same favorites? :-)
Love, Christine ♥
